This
short course serves as a hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of sound,
working with microphones and audio mixing consoles and the audio recording process
from the recording stage to the processing of the recorded signals for playback.
Students will be given the opportunity to work together and learn to use equipments
that will enable them to perform these tasks and will gain an understanding
to the work involved in recording sound.
Subjects: Introduction to sound, Audio recording and mixing
consoles, Basic microphones and miking techniques, Basic multitrack recording
and mixdown
Next Intake: monthly from January 2006
Pre-requisite: 17 years of age
Duration : 1 month, 6 Hours per Week
Certificate: SAE Basic Recording Certificate
