SAE Institute Singapore is proud to be a supporter and film sponsor for this year's Asian Festival of First Films. AFFF invited all local SAE students to participate in this film festival by being volunteers which is a great opportunity for them to see how a film festival is run and to meet famous film makers. Besides issuing them a paper for their resume that they were a volunteer in this festival, AFFF will also provide them with free screening tickets and other goodies !!!
SAE Institute has recently sent some film and audio students for exciting internships within the live broadcasting sector with Whitewolf Media. They assist the Whitewolf Media crew with Motion Graphics and Live Broadcast Production for the Australian NBL Tournement held in the Singapore Indoor Stadium. This is an exciting opportunity for these media students as training within this sector is rare and SAE Students were exclusively selected by the Producer David Tully.

Jose won this time for his work recording and mixing Daddy Yankee’s latest album “Barrio Fino”. Jose has also had a Grammy nomination for Vico C’s album, “Desahogo”. SAE Singapore is sponsoring a FREE diploma course to the winner of the Yamaha Asian Beat Competition 2005. This band competition is one of the premier showcase events in Singapore, promoting local talent.
Finals date is on November 20th 2005. SAE students are likely to do "live" recording of the event as a group project. |

SAE Singapore is pleased to announce the arrival of a new General Manager. Mr Jason de Wilde is an Australian and has been involved with SAE since 1989. He has a wealth of Training, Management and Audio Engineering experience both in and out of SAE.
He was the Manager of SAE Sydney for 9 years, and then moved on to the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre where he was the Manager of the entire Audio Visual Dept.
"I am looking forward to the challenge of raising the profile of SAESingapore, and to revitalise the school. We have a lot of exciting plans in the pipeline which I am sure will make SAE Singapore an excellent place to prepare for a career in Film or Audio." |

The studio has just been totally re-equipped with a new Pro Tools rig. The new installation includes a Mac G5, a Pro Tools HD1 system, and a Digidesign/ Focusrite Control 24. The surround capabilities of the studio will be used for students final recording work as well as post production assignments. |
